In 2013, Marc Forster feasted us with World War Z, a film oscillating between science fiction and disaster and in which humanity found itself purged through a pandemic. His suite, World War Z 2, must begin shooting next June. Brad Pitt will take over his role, when David Fincher (Se7en, Fight Club, House Of Cards).
Even though David Fincher is at the helm of the ship World War Z 2 for some time now, the project has been delayed, once again, since the screenplay has gone through rewriting in the hands of Dennis Kelly. Nevertheless, it is official, the shooting will begin well in 2019, a date was even given, that of June next. In fact, it was in an interview with Variety that producers Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner revealed the information.

A date that not only allows David Fincher to get down to the production of Season 2 of Mindhunter, when Brad Pitt was able to take pictures in front of Quentin Tarantino's camera, for the movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, scheduled for August 14th. Let's just hope that the filming of World War Z 2 does not encounter the same problems as his predecessor. The film is freely inspired by the original work of Max Brooks, in which the Earth is devastated by a pandemic.
World War Z 2 could, hopefully, reach our movie theaters by 2020. The film had managed to reap more than 540 million dollars at the global box office, remains to be seen if his suite will manage to do better. The cast will be led by the return of Brad Pitt in the role of Gerry Lane, a former UN employee, become the last hope of Humanity.
